Pip's Pond School · Ages 5 to 8
Kindergarten to Grade 3 practice that feels like play
Short, playful lessons in reading, writing, math, telling time and science, built around skills children commonly practice in kindergarten through third grade. Pip reads every story and question out loud.
What your child practices
- Reading: listening to and reading short stories, answering who, where and why, and reading common sight words.
- Writing: tracing lines, capital and lowercase letters, numbers and short words with the right strokes.
- Math: word problems told as little stories, adding and taking away, and telling time.
- Science: the five senses, living things, sink or float, weather, life cycles, and ice, water and steam.
Every day there is a new School Day: a short mix of lessons picked for your child's grade, with a report card that shows how each subject is going.
School names differ around the world. In the UK, kindergarten is close to Reception and Year 1, and in Australia to Foundation or Prep. Pick the level that matches what your child is learning now.
